Tanjore Painting

                       Tanjore Painting :

Its the Krishna-Yashoda Ji's Pic..
A Unique Tanjore Painting of mine, which I love the most...
Although its not the original one, as Original Tanjore Painting requires Original Gem stones, and 24K Gold ...I made it with lots of hopes :)

A few descriptive detail,I had collected from google for Further Info is:

Origin : Tanjore painting (Tamil name : Thanjavur Oviyam) is an important form of classical South Indian painting, native to the town of Thanjavur (anglicized as Tanjore) in Tamil Nadu.
The art form dates back to about 1600 AD, a period when   Nayakas of Tanjavur encouraged art—chiefly, classical dance and music—as well as literature both in Telugu and Tamil.

Specialty : Tanjore Paintings are known for their surface richness, vivid colours and compact composition, and are inspired by classical dance, music and literature.
The themes and painting prints of Tanjore paintings are of Hindu deities, figures, birds, flowers, animals and saints.

Procedure Of Actual Tanjore Painting ( Original) :
     * The first step is reliminary sketch of the image on the base.
    * The painting base is made of cloth pasted over the wooden base.To make the base stronger, the
mixture of chalk powder or zinc oxide with water-soluble adhesive is applied on the base.
    * Drawing decoration is the most important aspect. Semi precious stones also known as Jaipur
stones, jewellery, apparels, golf  foils and stripes, colorful dyes, laces and threads are pasted on the
Tanjore painting as a part of decorative Jwellery.
    * Add vivid colors and dyes to make your painting beautiful. And on top, Gold Foil is pasted which
ensures paintings lasts generations and becomes a family prestige.
